Summary
Intrepid Potash, Inc (Intrepid) is a producer of muriate of potash (MOP). The Company is engaged in the production and marketing of potash and langbeinite (sulfate of potash magnesia), another mineral that contains potassium. The Company markets its langbeinite under the name of Trio. Intrepid also produces salt, magnesium chloride and metal recovery salts from its potash mining processes. The Company owns five potash production facilities: three in New Mexico (collectively known as Carlsbad or individually as West, East and North) and two in Utah (Moab and Wendover). The Company has the capacity to produce 1,200,000 short tons of potash and 250,000 short tons of langbeinite annually. It also owns two development assets in New Mexico, the HB mine, which is an idled potash mine, and the North Mine.
